A one-make race using the Mégane Trophy will be appearing in the Quick Match. This is a race using cars in the garage, so you can take a car that you’ve tuned to your preference. The first round is at the Nürburgring GP/F, one of the tracks where the real world Mégane Trophy race actually takes place.
Rough driving is not a good idea on a grand prix course with high curbstones. While I was saying you’ve got to watch for pileups, I did it my self in the internal test race. Apologies to the guy sitting at the desk next to me…
The Mégane Trophy is not a high powered car but its light weight makes it quick. There are bound to be close battles like in the WTCC, so you need to set the car to handle a good range of situations.
In addition to the standard model, the 15th Anniversary Edition is also able to participate. But it’s cooler to enter in the base model that you can paint in the color of your choice! Give it a number and really go for that real life look.
The Mégane Trophy is available to buy not in the Renault dealer section but in the Renault Sport section. The wing mounts sticking through the rear hatch is a unique design on the car. It’s modeled so accurately it makes you want to stare at it for hours in the photo mode.
Does the event poster remind you of something?
Yep, it’s the home screen of Gran Turismo 4, that went on sale in December 2004. When you win races, the car you’re driving faced forward, and when you lose, its hind view was shown in a sort of sad tone. The design from 10 years ago was brought back as a surprise. How old were you all back then?
