Many Quick Matches in GT6 are set up to coincide with major racing events in the real world, and this weekend with the Le Mans 24 Hours race is no different. For the occasion, we have added the GT-R LM Nismo to the list of prototype car series and we have adjusted it according to the Quick Match original BoP (“Balance of Power”, a feature used to adjust the performance in terms of PP). The face off between Nissan, Toyota and Audi will start in the world of Gran Turismo 6.
Your chance will present itself as long as you bide your time and keep steady rhythm on the long Sarthe Circuit. Even if you find yourself dropping to the lower ranks, don’t give up! The rewards have been boosted for this race, so even if you don’t come in 1st place it’s still worth having a great race.
We’ve also prepared some nostalgic race events based on the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Within Gran Turismo 6 there are various versions of the Sarthe Circuit: from the classic Sarthe circuit of 2009 and 2005 (with no no chicanes in the straight) to the latest 2013 layout.
And of course the main protagonists of the classic Sarthe are the Group C cars! The performance of these cars has also been adjusted. The traditional Nissan colors (that the new GT-R LM pays homage to) brings back fond memories of the past: the days when cars used to scream through the ultra long 6km straight-away, uninterrupted by the 2 chicanes like it is today!
It’s great to go back to the good old days of true speed addicts using the Group C cars from around the world. Enjoy the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the virtual world where even time travel is possible!
On the day of the Le Mans 24 Hours race there will be public viewings events held all over the world. In Japan, there will be one hosted at the Nissan Global Headquarters Gallery and at the one hosted at the Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store there will be Simcraft Simulators using Gran Turismo 6. Check out the latest LMP1 cars and the world of Le Mans 24 Hours racing!
