I hope you’re enjoying Season 1 of the New Year Holiday Challenge! The Red Bull Fan Car Series Time Trial is difficult but it is definitely possible to achieve a Gold award if you drive carefully. Keep trying and don’t give up until the final day! Many players having difficulty clearing the event may be braking too early. The Fan car has an incredible top speed, and its stopping power is just as high. Understanding the characteristics of the course and the car is of paramount importance to achieve Gold results!
Now Season 2 is coming up, starting on December 24; these events are again tough and come with the “Time/Weather: Variable” option enabled.

There’s only a few days remaining in 2015; for us in Japan, this was a landmark year with the GT Academy happening here for the first time. Seeing the Japanese finalists fighting at the GT Academy’s holy grounds of Silverstone brought together the Japanese game and motorsports freaks. Meanwhile, the first GT Academy champion Lucas Ordóñez made spot participations in the Super GT GT500 Class, the top category of GT racing in Japan. In other parts of the world Wolfgang “Wolfie” Reip took the overall win at the Bathurst 12 Hours race in Australia, and the series title of the Blancpain Endurance series in Europe. It was a very good year for the Gran Turismo family!
Sorry to have kept you waiting for so long! The Gran Turismo 6 course creation feature has finally been added as the “Track Path Editor”! With this feature, you can transfer a track designed on a tablet (Android or iOS) to Gran Turismo 6. In addition to your standard looped circuit track layout, you can also design a single sector course as well, which will increase the types of time trials and drift modes you can play with. A variety of course side objects you can place are available according to the theme of the track, to create a course full of originality. (ReadMore)
Have you ever made a “bucket list”? (I think there’s also a movie with the same title, isn’t there?)
If you love cars and motorcycles and racing, “Goodwood Festival of Speed” definitely belongs in that list.
We brought you a report from last year event as well, but this year’s edition had something with a special meaning for us: the huge “Central Feature” that appears every year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is a structure that is built solely for the 3-day event. The gigantic feature is always decorated with cars that represent the history and glory of car manufacturers.

Roughly 1 week after returning from the Nürburgring, we left Japan again to participate in two Vision Gran Turismo announcement ceremonies in Detroit and Paris.
But first, we had some work to take care of in New York. For myself, New York reminds me of GT4. GT4 was the first time that the Photo Mode was introduced, and we recreated the wood deck where you could see the night lights of Manhattan from the base of Brooklyn Bridge. Do you remember the scene where it also appears in the opening of GT4 together with the Ford GT?

Many Quick Matches in GT6 are set up to coincide with major racing events in the real world, and this weekend with the Le Mans 24 Hours race is no different. For the occasion, we have added the GT-R LM Nismo to the list of prototype car series and we have adjusted it according to the Quick Match original BoP (“Balance of Power”, a feature used to adjust the performance in terms of PP). The face off between Nissan, Toyota and Audi will start in the world of Gran Turismo 6.
The race final of the Legendary LeMans 24 Hour Race begins on Saturday June 13th. But ahead of the real life LeMans, the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo will be delivered to Gran Turismo users! The car will be awarded to those who have completed driving the GT Academy Online Qualifier Event Round 4. Test drive the newest Hybrid front wheel drive racing machine, built by Nissan who have continued to challenge the LeMans in unusual machines like the Delta Wing and ZEOD RC!
The GT Academy Live Event qualifier was held recently at the Fuji Speedway. As it was held alongside the Super GT Round 2, many Gran Turismo players gathered there.
The full motorsports season is finally on, as it is also in the virtual world with GT Academy starting soon. On April 5 in Japan, the first round of the Super GT “Okayama GT300km race” has seen the debut of Lucas Ordóñez, the first GT Academy Champion, in the GT500 Class (the full race footage is available on NISMO TV for some countries outside of Japan).
